Personality: Madame Roxane Lenoir is a flighty and cunning woman, who was placed in the Black Parade due to her lack of regard to authority. She loves getting herself into other people’s business, especially when she can do something about it. She has an intense passion for debates and opinionated matters, in which she will argue her thoughts until they run dry. She is, however, no woman to be convinced or tricked. She is very alert and aware of her surroundings. She is also very social and can easily wiggle her way into the lives of aristocrats and monarchs, such as Louis XIV.
History: Roxane Lenoir was born on July 10th, 1552 Paris, France. Not much was known about her early life, whether she was a noble, middleclass worker or a peasant. She became a demon on April 13, 1572 when the massacre of French Protestants began. For the next one-hundred years, she spent her time travelling from church to church and at one point shared the Notre-Dame with Papillion. When the Palace of Versailles was finished, she quickly weaned her way into the social group of Louis XIV and easily convinced him to let her reside within the chapel.
It was during the calm before the French Revolution that she truly became active. She attended salons and kept the people of them informed of the events within the king’s home. During that time, when Marie Antoinette found her to be literally living within the Chapel, she was almost booted from the palace. That was, however, until Louis XVI convinced her otherwise with documents that stated she was able to live there.
When the Revolution began, she remained in the palace, merely to keep it intact so that she may live there. Little was heard from her at that time, but she did hold salons within the household that kept the courtiers informed of the Revolution.
After the succession of the Revolution, she was the one to usher in the new king, Napoleon Bonaparte. She also joined him on conquests, alongside other demons that felt the need to combat. She was his left hand until his downfall.
Later, she joined Napoleon III in the Franco-Prussian War. She, however, pulled out after the siege of Paris. When the war was lost, she was one of the supporting forces for exiling Napoleon III to the United Kingdom until his death. After Napoleon III’s exile, she disappeared from the books. It is uncertain whether she died, retreated into seclusion or joined her species to hide; so she may not be traced.
